Xtreme Ice Skating Membership - Requirements for submitting a testing video:

By submitting a testing video to Xtreme Ice Skating Corp, you hereby agree that you have read and acknowledged the stated requirements on this page.
Please note: If your testing video does not comply exactly with the stated policies noted below, you will be asked to re-submit your testing video. You will not be charged to re-submit.

The content of your testing video must only have only these 3 items, and in this order:
- Items listed below must be separated by scenes, with at least 3-seconds per scene (enough time to pause the screen to view the information).
a. Title: ("Dan P., #0000001-US, Beginner level-1")
b. Current date.
c. Skating footage (must be uncut).

. The title inside the video must be as follows: ("First name & last initial, registration #, testing level")
    example: "Dan P., #0000001-US, Beginner level-1".
a. Your first name, full registration number, and testing level.

2. Skating footage must have:
a. One front and side-view camera shot in regular motion and uncut.
b. You have up to 5 do-overs per trick (the do-over must be performed immediately if you make a mistake).
c. You must do all the takes in a particular trick before moving onto the next trick. Another words: (you must successfully complete each trick including front and side views (facing the camera), before moving onto the next trick.
d. There can not be any cuts in the video whatsoever! You can do the tricks in any order though.


3. Video content and recording:
a. Testing video must have sufficient light (please do not record during teen night or DJ night).
b. Testing video must be clear enough to see. Stay close to the camera. Video can not be blurry. (most camera phones are sufficient. You may have to upload your testing video to a website that does not blur your video like Youtube blurs).
  ** c. If someone passes in front of you or the camera while doing a movement, you have to do the movement over. (you have two attempts to make a successful pass if someone passes in front of you.
d. The camera can not be shaking or moving abruptly. It must be kept relatively still. If the camera is following you, make sure you stay in the camera shot).
e. Only you the tester, can be in the video shot, except for background skaters (another words: no one can be doing the test with you or standing in camera view).
  ** f. Camera shot must show you so that you are big enough to see and judge. Pretend as if you were judging your own video. Are you big enough to see small details such as spacing between the legs?

g. Testing video can not contain any links or written content other than the title information.
h. Testing video can not contain any music (other than the music playing in the background at the rink).
i. Testing video can not have any foul language (including in the background sound).
j. Testing video can not be longer than 10 minutes, unless otherwise specified. (this rule will change for higher level testing).
