Hawk Turn (video tutorial)

Guideline 1:
- The lower hand must touch the ice.

Tuck Stop (video tutorial)
Guideline 1:
- Lifted skate boot may not be raised beyond top of other boot.
- If your boot is touching high on your other leg, it looks awful.

Guideline 2:
- Both skate boots much touch to conform to eachother.
- Notice how lifted skate boot follows the contour of the other leg and skate boot.

Guideline 3:
- Your back and head must follow a relatively straight line.
- Torso is slightly forward.
- Your head may not face down.

Guideline 4:
- You must have a fair amount of space between your knees - approximately two fists distance. Just make sure your knees aren't together.
Guideline 5:
- Angle of knee bend must be a minimum of approx. 25º-30º degrees.
- Simply stated: you must have some decent knee bend.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

One Footed Stop (video tutorial)
Guideline 1:
- Raised foot must touch other knee or leg.
Guideline 2:
- Raised foot may not touch the lower leg.
Guideline 3:
- Raised foot is not forward of the knee, nor is it to the back of the knee.
- Basically, if your foot looks like it's sticking way out, it is failing.

Guideline 4:
- Your back and head must follow a relatively straight line.
- Torso is slightly forward.
- Your back & head may not lean forward as depicted below.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heel Stop (video tutorial)
Guideline 1:
- Heel must touch the ice throughout the entire stop.
- Some heel chatter is allowed.

Guideline 2:
- Torso is straight, with a slight forward lean, or erect posture.
